On December 24, 2024, Lecturer Hayashi delivered a lecture titled "Data Ecosystem: The Frontier of Cross-Disciplinary Data Collaboration and Value Creation" at the regular meeting of the Urban OS Working Group, Kansai Economic Federation (KANKEIREN).

Dr. Hayashi provided an overview of the data ecosystem emerging from the integration and circulation of heterogeneous data and introduced initiatives from the Hayashi Laboratory focused on data distribution and cross-disciplinary data collaboration technologies.

Furthermore, he discussed the latest trends in data ecosystem in Europe and North America, along with the ongoing debates surrounding these topics. During the discussion session, participants exchanged insights on the Osaka Regional Data Exchange Network (ORDEN), which aims to realize a data-driven smart city society led by the KANKEIREN.
