On December 18, 2024, the ShareWel team from the University of Tokyo, in which Lecturer Hayashi participates, received the 2024 University of Tokyo President's Award for Operational Reform.

ShareWel is a service initiated by the University of Tokyo, designed to promote the sharing and reuse of goods and resources.

ShareWel aims to encourage the reuse of unused items within the university, fostering not only sustainable consumption but also supporting early-career researchers and enhancing connections among researchers. One of its key missions is to contribute to building a Well-being-oriented society. In November 2023, ShareWel launched a pilot Reuse Project targeting faculty, staff, and students in the School of Engineering and the Graduate School of Information Science and Technology at the University of Tokyo.
