On July 8, 2026, Dr. Hayashi gave an invited talk at the first meeting of the Future Data Co-Creation Working, organized by the Kansai Economic Federation (KANKEIREN), entitled “The Present and Future of Data Co-Creation: Designing Collaboration in the Emerging Data Society.”

In his talk, Dr. Hayashi introduced a framework for creating new value by combining data across different organizations and domains in response to the rapid development of the data co-creation society. He also reviewed the evolution of data utilization and explained why technologies for discovering, connecting, creating, understanding, and matching data will play a central role in the next generation of data co-creation society.

The presentation also featured a live demonstration of TEEDA, the data matching platform developed by the Hayashi Laboratory. During the panel discussion, participants explored new approaches to data co-creation for disaster resilience and discussed how collaborative data ecosystems can support future societal challenges.
