In July 2025, the Special Interest Group on Data Collaboration (SIG-DC) was established as a Type II Research Group under the Japanese Society for Artificial Intelligence (JSAI), with the aim of promoting cross-disciplinary data utilization and fostering the development of supporting ecosystems.
This research group comprehensively explores the potential for new insights and value creation through the circulation and integration of heterogeneous data. Discussions will not only cover technical challenges but also extend to legal issues, social acceptance, literacy education, and other wide-ranging aspects, in order to build knowledge that contributes to sound development.
The scope of the group includes diverse areas such as data markets and pricing, data quality and integration, AI applications, privacy and security, as well as policy and social issues. Presentations at various stages—from case studies to conceptual proposals—are also welcome.
